With TESDA completing its 800,000 technical-vocational Pangulong Gloria Scholarships output this year, it is as important to know where their graduates are going after. The Blue Desks are set up to be one of the metrics of performance of Technical Vocational Education Training (TVET) which is employment of graduates within six months to one year after graduation.
At present, there are about 1000 Blue Desks units installed in 17 regions located at TESDA Regional Coordinating Councils (RCCs), local government units through governors and mayors, I-CARE partners, tek-bok providers, employers, recruitment agencies, and other regional government offices.
The TESDA Blue Desks offer services such as labor market intelligence, career guidance, referral and placement, emergency employment, apprenticeship, and referral for business development.
Job seekers may register through a TESDA Gold Card given free of charge via online application. The Blue Desk assistants will help upload their resumes to the E-TESDA portal where it will be available for the thousands of local and international companies in JobsDB database seeking for employees.
This innovation in helping
TESDA graduates get jobs
gives them a big opportunity to be referred, job-matched and traced by these thousands of companies and even by TESDA, to monitor their career after graduating from TESDA schools.
