Full Scholarship for Secondary and Pre-University Studies in Singapore
The Singapore Ministry of Education is pleased to offer ASEAN Scholarships to outstanding students for studies in secondary schools and junior colleges in Singapore, leading to the General Certificate of Education “Advanced” Level (or equivalent) Examination. Students who score good grades in the GCE ‘A’ Level Examination may continue their undergraduate studies at the National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) or Singapore Management University (SMU) on scholarships or bursaries that the universities administer.
Value of Award
Exemption from school and examination fees
Annual allowance of S$2,200 approximately P60,000
Accommodation (board and lodging)
One return air passage to and from Singapore
Others – including medical benefits, settling allowance, etc.
Who can apply?
Nationals of the Philippines born between 1993-1995
Have done consistently well in their school examinations and have completed at least their 2nd year of High School

DOST Offers Fund for More Researches
The Department of Science and Technology is urging scientist all over the Philippines to submit proposals for possible research funding as DOST grants-in-aid (GIA) has reached P1.42 billion this year.
DOST has funds for R & D projects but scientist and researchers would have to make good proposals that are in line with DOST priorities for possible funding.
DOST grants-in-aid jumped to P1.422 billion this year from P1.267 billion last year and P740 million in 2007. The department has funded research projects form P100,000 to as hhigh as P220 million, depending on the projects overall potential, especially on commercialization.
DOST priority areas are in biotechnology, health and pharmaceuticals, information and communications technology (ICT), food, environment and renewable energy.

MFI Foundation Offers Pangulong Gloria Scholarships
MFI Foundation (formerly Meralco Foundation Inc.) has partnered with Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) in offering skills scholarships. MFI Foundation is authorized by TESDA to give skills training funded by the Pangulong Gloria Scholarships.
Along with five industrial partners, MFI Foundation will deliver skills training programs in Gas Welding, GMAW, SMAW, Ref and Aircon Servicing, Computer Hardware Servicing, Computer Programming, Java, Microsoft.Net and Technical Drafting.
Included in the scholarship is a daily allowance of P60 and free uniform. Participants who successfully complete the program are also given a free competency assessment by TESDA.
